How do I get help with Blackboard?

570 views   |   0 Vote this question as useful.   0 Vote this question as not useful.   |   Last updated on Jun 30, 2020

The library does not maintain Blackboard.

Try logging in directly to Blackboard through https://elearning.kctcs.edu/

If you have trouble logging into Blackboard, you can reset your ECTC password through the User Account Center and try again. If that does not work, delete your cookies and cache from your internet browser or try logging in through a different browser. Exit out of any ECTC application (MyPath, Blackboard, etc) before deleting cookies and cache.

If you still encounter problems, contact Go KCTCS Student Service Center available online 24/7/365 or call (855)746-3282.

If you still have problems, call the Blackboard Support Center technical support: (317) 333-7300.

On-campus contact: Ramona Barrow or call (270) 706-8486.

How much does it cost to print?

487 views   |   0 Vote this question as useful.   0 Vote this question as not useful.   |   Last updated on Jun 30, 2020

Current students receive a printing account credit with a beginning balance of $15 each semester. Printouts and copies are .10 per side B&W & .25 per side color. The library prints 2-sided by default, so a single page, double-sided printout costs .20. Printing costs are deducted automatically.

Students may add money to their accounts at the Business Office (RPC room 102). The library does not handle cash or credit.

Community users receive 5 B&W prints at no cost. There is no way to purchase additional prints at this time.

Does the Library have the textbook for my class?

468 views   |   0 Vote this question as useful.   0 Vote this question as not useful.   |   Last updated on Sep 11, 2020

The library does not carry textbooks for your courses. You can purchase/rent your textbook at the ECTC Campus Bookstore. Click on the link for "Textbooks" located under the yellow KY picture.

Your course might have an eTextbook that is included in the cost of your course and is available through Blackboard. Check your syllabus for information about your course materials.

The library does have a small collection of textbooks on "course reserve." These are items your professor placed in the library for students to use either in the library or for 3 days. Your instructor will state in the syllabus if they have placed an item "on reserve." Due to COVID-19, the library is not lending "course reserve" items at this time.

How do I print, scan, or make photocopies?

452 views   |   0 Vote this question as useful.   0 Vote this question as not useful.   |   Last updated on Aug 17, 2021

When you select the print, a small pop-up window should appear on the computer screen or in your bottom toolbar. This window shows how much printing money you have remaining in your student account. It will also tell you how much will be deducted when you print the current job. Click on "Accept" if you wish to continue.

Go to one of the printers and use the touch screen to enter your login and password. This will be the same thing you used to log into the computer and for Blackboard and email.

Select print and highlight your jobs and press the green print button.

Logoff with the door & arrow button in the upper right corner when finished.

To scan or make photocopies, you will follow the same log-in steps and select either copy or scan.
